The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization. Founded 130 years ago by the Venerable Father Michael McGivney at St. Mary’s parish in New Haven, CT, the Knights uphold four key principles as pillars of the order: Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.

Today, the Order has grown to over 1.9 Million members, more than 55,000 here in the state of Florida. Our resources are utilized to support countless causes, programs, and parishes all over the world and most importantly in our local communities.

Knights are called to serve others and that is why our first principle is Charity – at home with our families and in our communities.

When Knights of Columbus members come together as one through their council and parish, they accomplish great things.

Our charitable programs such as Coats for Kids, Food for Families, the Ultrasound Initiative, Global Wheelchair Mission, and Habitat for Humanity are just a few of the many charities we support in addition to those in our local communities.

Locally, our Council 17689 is an important part of St. Rita Catholic Church in Santa Rosa Beach. All of our Brothers are also members of St. Rita, providing many functions to help deliver on our core principles.  This, our 1st Annual Charity Golf Tournament, is an example of the commitment shown to those in need.
