As part of the Catholic Diocese of Tallahassee-Pensacola, St. Rita was established in 1983 and is located in the heart of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.  With over 40 years of serving the Catholic faithful and the local community, St Rita has experienced significant growth and expansion, especially in the last decade.

The existing church was completed in 2000 followed four years later with the addition of the St Rita Preschool. 2020 included more campus improvements with the completion and dedication of a state-of-the-art, multipurpose Family Life Center.  In 2022, a dedicated Adoration Chapel was established for those wishing to be with the Lord in silence throughout the day. By acquiring more than 13 acres of adjacent land in 2023, we significantly increased our campus capacity with the hope of opening a K-8 Catholic Academy to serve the ever-growing needs of the parish and community.

Besides our Sunday and daily Masses, we offer numerous opportunities for people to encounter Christ through worship, faith formation, fellowship, and stewardship opportunities utilizing time, talent, and treasure.
